Pastels, clean, crisp pinstripes and shocking hot pink silks had replaced the label’s signature political prints and mashed up tartan. With pearl necklaces, set and blow dries, and satin-gloved hands carrying ladylike handbags there was no doubt where Queen Vivienne had drawn inspiration from for Spring/Summer 2013.
It was a collection all about the old and new, retro references given a modern re-interpretation even down to the muse. Instead of her original muse Sarah Stockbridge, Queen Elizabeth stood in on this historic year.
